I'm thinking about buying a house that has a large window where an exterior door really should be. Assuming I can buy a french door the same width as the window, and I take the window out and cut the rough opening myself, how much would it cost to hire someone to install the doors to meet building codes/etc?

I have a set of French doors installed by the previous owners of my house. It is over a converted patio, so the floor slopes slightly (down towards the doors). The problem is that the doors will only open about 70° before they hit the floor. Are there hinges that are available that would lift the door up as it's opened? Or is there some other solution? I don't want the doors to open outside, and I don't want to have to pull out the door frame. Thanks!
The floor is tiled, so I can't grind it down - wouldn't want to anyway; that would make the floor uneven. the doors are steel, so I can't trim them.
I found some 'rising butt hinges' online that will solve the problem... thanks anyway.

We have an indoor french door with 3 rows on small windows. Only 1 of those small windows is broken. How do I repair the window without damaging the rest of the door? How do I get the glass back into the door without breaking the rest of the glass? I don't want to have to call the window man or buy a whole new door for 1 small windoe pane if I don't have to.
The french door has 15 window panes.
